As a Senior Care Assistant you will be required to ensure the support provided is of the highest standard and in compliance with all regulations, ensuring standards are maintained by supporting the care staff and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, mentor and supervise front-line staff.
  • Offer practical and emotional support to individuals in all aspects of daily living tasks such as personal care, maintaining independence, administering medication, hobbies and life skills.
  • Communicate with a variety of people including individuals receiving services, families and friends, as well as other care professionals such as GPs and social workers.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain and improve wellbeing – reporting concerns to managers.

Qualifications:

  • Empathetic and passionate about providing excellent care.
  • Good communicator and can communicate verbally in English (essential) and in Welsh (desirable).
  • Can write in English (essential) and in Welsh (desirable).
  • Will be required to undertake a Disclosure check by the Disclosure & Barring Service.
