The Role: This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm where employment law is not just a department, but the core of everything we do. The purpose of this role is to provide expert employment law advice and representation to employers, employees and HR professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confidently handle a diverse caseload of employment law matters (advisory, contentious and non-contentious).
- Deliver practical commercial and strategic advice to a varied client base over the phone/Teams, by email or in person.
- Undertake Tribunal case preparation from start to finish.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure excellent client service and outcomes.
- Take initial calls from potential clients and be able to either convert them to new business, confidently explaining our charges, or where they cannot convert, be able to bring the calls to a quick, polite conclusion.
- Be flexible and proactive in supporting the broader needs of a growing specialist firm.
- Ensure quality standards and compliance with SRA requirements.
Ideal but not essential, you are able to:
- Represent clients in Employment Tribunals.
- Utilise your established network of clients and contacts to contribute to business generation.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Capabilities:
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales).
- We are ideally looking for someone with significant PQE in employment law. Whilst experience in employment law is preferred, applications are also welcome from those with limited experience but with a genuine commitment to developing in this field.
- Ability to manage files independently from instruction to resolution.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- A strong sense of professionalism, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Feel comfortable in a close-knitted, office-based team environment whilst having the ability to work independently.
