Are you an organised, proactive multitasker with a passion for property? We’re looking for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy, friendly team and play a key role in helping clients move home with ease. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and love keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this is the perfect opportunity to grow your legal career.
General duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
- Deal with client onboarding (ID etc)
- Regularly update and liaise with clients
- Liaise with lenders, estate agents and other third parties
- Drafting contract packs and transfers
- Review sale enquiries and liaise with clients, landlords, managing agents etc to obtain the necessary replies
- Set up completions, draft completion statements and arrange post completion formalities including registration at the Land Registry
- Assist in sorting out any internal accounts queries
- Comply with the firm’s policies and regulatory procedures
Knowledge, experience and skills:
- Excellent client care and communication skills with an ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proven competence in IT skills (Outlook, Word, and other case management systems experience)
- A proactive, motivated, and flexible approach to work
- Maintaining and updating client files and documentation in accordance with compliance rules and procedures
2+ years experience of working in residential conveyancing.
