We need a conveyancer who can:
- Get control of the transaction from day one
- Manage client expectations properly (timelines, risks, chain reality)
- Handle pressure from clients in a polite but authoritative manner, without losing control of the file
- Explain issues clearly and tell clients what needs to happen next — concisely, without long, jargon-heavy explanations
- Use phone calls to move things forward, not just email updates
- Work confidently with estate agents
The job involves:
- Running your own residential conveyancing caseload from start to exchange
- Working alongside an expert legal title-checking team who will review the first set of contract papers and raise additional enquiries
- Speaking with clients when required to manage expectations and give practical solutions
- Reassuring clients and keeping them calm, with clear, direct advice
- Proactively chasing progress and removing blockers
- Updating agents properly so chains don’t fall apart
Post-exchange is handled by an elite specialist team, allowing you to focus on driving the legal work forward, controlling expectations early, and getting matters to exchange quickly and cleanly.
You must have:
- At least 3+ years’ practical residential conveyancing experience
- Strong organisation and file ownership
- The ability to take accountability and hit targets — rewarded with high commission payments and extra holiday
