Experienced residential conveyancer
Role Overview
Manage a dedicated caseload of residential property transactions, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and efficient conveyancing process. Provide exceptional client care while protecting the firm's interests and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders in the property chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Caseload Management: Handle sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity from instruction to post-completion.
- Legal & Technical Work: Conduct title checks, review legal documents, prepare contracts and transfer deeds, and raise or answer enquiries.
- Compliance & Checks: Carry out pre-contract searches (local authority, environmental, water/drainage), and strictly adhere to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), GDPR, and SRA regulatory standards.
- Client Communication: Liaise professionally with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, surveyors, and other solicitors.
- Case Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date files using the firm’s case management system.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience managing an independent residential conveyancing caseload.
Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer (CLC), or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx).
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of standard conveyancing processes, property law, and modern case management software.
Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a confident, empathetic telephone manner for client care.
