We are seeking an experienced Conveyancer to manage a live caseload of approximately 75 residential property files. The role is supported by a dedicated processing team responsible for drafting papers, ordering searches, producing reports on title, and by a post-completion (PC) team managing completion and registration matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of around 75 active residential property transactions, including freehold, leasehold, and new build matters.
- Oversee the entire conveyancing process from instruction through to completion, ensuring all milestones are achieved efficiently and compliantly.
- Review and approve draft contracts, searches, and title documentation prepared by the support team.
- Provide legal and technical supervision to ensure high-quality client service and compliance with CLC/SRA and AML standards.
- Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors to progress matters promptly and maintain strong client communication.
- Handle complex matters or escalations requiring professional judgment or negotiation.
- Monitor progress and performance of allocated files, ensuring compliance with internal KPIs and risk management protocols.
Support Structure
- Processing Team: Prepares draft contracts, initiates searches, and compiles title and report documentation.
- Post-Completion (PC) Team: Manages completion statements, registration, and post-completion formalities.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a conveyancing caseload independently.
- Strong technical knowledge of residential property law and Land Registry procedures.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with ability to manage volume work efficiently.
- Experience using case management systems (e.g. Redbrick or similar).
- Commitment to service excellence and compliance with professional conduct rules.
