Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced dedicated and detail-oriented Conveyancer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property transactions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and providing exceptional service to clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career within property law, working in a fast-paced environment that values organisation and effective communication. The position is suitable for experienced professionals in conveyancing.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the end-to-end process of property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
  • Preparing and reviewing legal documentation such as contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage documents
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and solicitors to facilitate smooth transactions
  • Conducting property searches and due diligence to ensure legal compliance
  • Organising and maintaining accurate case files and documentation
  • Ensuring all transaction deadlines are met efficiently and effectively
  • Providing clear updates and advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to property transactions as required

What we are looking for

  • 3-5 years residential conveyancing experience managing your own caseload
  • CILEx, CLC license, or law degree
  • Confident handling freehold and leasehold transactions independently
  • Strong client communication skills - our clients are often going through difficult circumstances and need a human touch
  • Able to commute to Weston-super-Mare or Chester at least twice a week, and to Chester for initial training (expenses paid).
  • The role can be based in Chester or Weston-super-Mare and is hybrid, requiring at least 2 full days a week at one of these offices.
  • Own transport is essential.
