Convex is seeking a talented Underwriting Manager to join the Convex Europe team in Luxembourg and work closely with the Office of the Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) as well as Convex Europe's UK Branch Manager based in London.

Key responsibilities:
- Prepare reports and presentations for strategic management meetings (Group Executive Committee, Convex Europe ExCo and Board) and communicate underwriting performance indicators.
- Ensure proper control and oversight of the underwriting activity performed by Convex Europe UK Branch.
- Provide support in the development, execution and monitoring of underwriting related policies, processes, and strategies.
- Use good judgment and discretion in providing administrative support and troubleshooting issues identified.
- Engage with Lines of Business Heads and all others in insurance underwriting to facilitate completion of tasks and ensuring key information is shared and disseminated.
- Ensure adherence within the Underwriting community to internal policies and EEA legal & regulatory framework.
- Act as a key liaison between Convex Europe Head Office, Convex Europe UK Branch, the CUO Office, and other functions within Convex.
- Work collaboratively across locations and functions to ensure achievement of shared goals.
- Represent Convex Europe/CUO Office/insurance underwriting in Convex projects, working groups/committees as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
- Solid understanding of insurance mechanisms, with prior experience in underwriting, underwriting operations or underwriting governance. Broker or other relevant experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of the London insurance market is a plus.
- Experienced in management report writing and preparation of presentations. Capable of interpreting basic management information related to underwriting performance.
- Highly collaborative approach across functions and geographies, with the ability to work independently as required.
- Fluent in written and spoken English. Any European language is a plus.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
- Detail orientated with an analytical mind.
- Keen on problem solving and possesses a "can-do" attitude.
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Comfortable with the latest technology.
