The Portfolio Insights team operates as a core strategic partner to our Insurance and Reinsurance divisions. As a Senior Portfolio Actuary, you will operate as an integral part of our underwriting teams to architect long-term portfolio design and manage pricing risks across a highly diverse, multi-geography product suite in London and the US. You will be integral to the commercial strategy for long-tail lines, collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional experts in ceded re, exposure management, actuarial, capital, and innovation to build highly resilient, future-proof portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Long term portfolio design: partner with underwriters on the strategic design and management of net portfolios across long-tail, casualty, and financial lines to ensure long-term, sustainable growth.
- Model design and integration: lead the specification and parameterisation of pricing models in close partnership with the broader Actuarial and Underwriting functions.
- Integrated commercial advisory: act as a dedicated partner to evaluate new lines of business, balancing growth with overarching portfolio strategy.
- Strategic business partnering: leverage your deep product expertise to shape underwriting priorities, co-owning business outcomes and driving commercial success.
- Analytics leadership: champion the evolution of our market-leading tooling, increasing business transparency and confidence in data-driven decisions.

- Qualified Actuary with 7+ years of actuarial pricing experience across long-tail or casualty insurance lines in the London market.
