Your Mission:

As theIT Manager, you’ll ensure Convertus’ hardware infrastructure operates reliably and efficiently across multiple facilities. You’ll oversee IT operations, manage systems and networks, and drive strategic initiatives that enhance our digital capabilities. This is a dynamic opportunity to apply your leadership and technical skills in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.

Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:

  • Maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software systems.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for IT support and escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Overseeing and managing all help desk functions, ensuring timely and effective support to users.
  • Managing the procurement and inventory of IT equipment (laptops, desktops, etc.).
  • Maintaining and managing vendor and service provider relationships.
  • Implementing IT policies and best practices as directed.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement within the IT function.
  • Monitoring system performance and ensuring the security and reliability of the IT infrastructure.

This job is for you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT support, preferably in a help desk environment.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory IT role, preferably leading a help desk team with a high volume of inquiries.
  • Evidential experience in managing teams and will be able to hit the ground running.
  • Ability to simplify technical concepts to non-IT colleagues.
  • Strong generalist knowledge across a range of technologies with exposure to, and/or management of services provided across:
    • Microsoft technologies including Azure services
    • Server/PC Virtualisation solutions – VMware, Hyper-V
    • Networkingprotocols
    • Client and Server hardware maintenance
  • Experience supporting users across a variety of technical issues (hardware, software, connectivity, access).
  • Familiarity with managing hardware/software lifecycles, renewal programs and licensing.
  • Experience working with IT vendors, service providers, and procurement processes.
