Weekend Maintenance Engineer
Join Convertech – Double E Group as a Weekend Maintenance Engineer.
Due to increased orders, this aerospace manufacturing business in Leicester seeks an engineer to enhance the current team.
Responsibilities
- Respond to machine breakdowns and facility issues with professionalism and urgency.
- Develop and support preventative maintenance schedules.
- Work on continuous improvement projects.
- Contribute to safety initiatives and facility improvement projects.
- Work both independently and collaboratively in a shift-based team.
- Liaise with contractors while ensuring compliance with site policies.
Qualifications
- Apprentice trained or a minimum of a level 3 Engineering Qualification.
- Strong maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with CNC machinery (Siemens, Heidenhain, Fanuc).
- Knowledge of drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Excellent fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Desirable: 18th Edition wiring regulations; Mechanical skills (e.g., spindle rebuilds, bearing replacements).
