Due to a significant investment over the next 2 years into this papermill in West Yorkshire, we are looking for a project manager to focus on the controls implementation within the plant. The role will encompass everything from design and implementation of the DCS System, programming from scratch working with both the Mechanical and Electrical teams to ensure that the projects are delivered on time and to budget. Ideally you will have been a controls engineer who has been involved in project implementation, the ongoing upgrade work is expected to last around 5 years. This role is located in Wharfedale, commutable from Bradford, Leeds and Harrogate.

The role as a Control's Project Manager:
- Lead and manage process control projects from inception to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to control systems and project activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Analyse process data to identify improvement opportunities and implement control strategies.
- Interact with customers, maintenance, and production employees to resolve issues.
- Manage development efforts, including task assignment, project plan reviews, and cost/resource monitoring.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field personnel and contractors.
- Liaise with clients to understand needs, address concerns, and ensure project satisfaction.
- Conduct training and foster professional development with production and maintenance employees.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide on-call technical support for the Whiteleys paper manufacturing facility.
- Utilise CMMS (Pemac) for management of project-related tasks.
Skills & Qualifications required in this Control Project Engineer's Role:
- Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Controls Engineering with a minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial controls, OR 10 years of Controls experience in a manufacturing plant (paper manufacturing preferred).
- Proficient in several programming languages and control device networks, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, and ABB.
- Experienced with HMI design, PID loops, and machine networking.
- Strong project management and leadership skills; Prince2 or similar would be beneficial.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
