Project Engineer in Nottingham

A FMCG business based in Nottingham has a new vacancy for a Project Engineer. You will be responsible to manage projects in accordance with the CAPEX project plan and to ensure all company policies are being adhered to, including Health and Safety in the implementation of capital projects.

Responsibilities

• To manage and lead CAPEX projects.
• Manage small to medium sized projects independently, ensuring safe and efficient project implementation.
• Keep project documentation up to date as required.
• Budget management.
• Monitor and control contractors to ensure safe and effective working, ensuring induction documentation is completed and contractors are controlled.
• Liaise with the site engineering team to ensure effective communication of project goals and objectives.
• Communicate project programmes and requirements to the business stakeholders.
• Keep project stakeholders up to date with project progress.
• Take charge and implement project mechanical and electrical tasks.
• Help design machinery and systems including building updates as required.
• Investigate new machinery and technology which could be used throughout the business.
• Keep up to date with food technology and production research and development in the industry, attending exhibitions and shows as required.
• Train production team members as required in the implementation of projects.

Skills and Qualifications

• Must have a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
• Must be proficient in CAD.
• Must have worked in a fast-paced environment, ideally in food or FMCG manufacturing.
• Monday to Friday days.
• Salary £55,000 – £65,000 dependant on experience.
