We are looking for 2 Teaching Fellows in English Language for Science and Engineering to undertake a fixed-term 2-year post in the Queen Mary Engineering School, in Xi’an, China to support the delivery of undergraduate education. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in the development of new engineering programmes in Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Interaction Design, all of which are rich in engineering design concepts, professional skills and language and communication in English in preparation for future international careers in engineering.

About You

  • Experience of educational delivery at undergraduate level in Higher Education and an interest in curriculum development, novel pedagogies and inclusive education.
  • A proven track record of excellent education delivery of English Language Teaching, ideally with experience of Transnational Education.
  • A commitment to providing a high-quality student experience is also essential.

About the Queen Mary Engineering School (QMES) in Xi’an, China

The QMES has been recognised as one of the top 16 international Joint Educational Institutions in China and offers an exciting academic environment to develop innovative education and scholarship in Transnational education (TNE). Post holders are expected to be based in London with extensive travelling to deliver education in Xi’an, China for substantial periods of time. The QMES is home to 19 international members of academic staff, supported by 6 professional service staff and home to circa 960 students in China. The school hosts the International Centre for Teaching and Learning and the Undergraduate Centre for Scientific Innovation, developing cutting edge Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in TNE.
