Work Environment: Hybrid: 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. Travel is required to include overseas travels.

Position Summary: Responsible for the overall financial control number of European entities, such as Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands as well as the UK. Ensure all reporting requirements are delivered timely and accurately to the EMEA regional leadership and the US parent company. Management of the Financial Reporting team who is based in the UK and support a small transactional team in Luxembourg.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller, ensure all EMEA and Global reporting is delivered accurately and on time. Activities include, but are not limited to, Budgets, Forecast, monthly close process, variance analysis of income statement and balance sheet results, cashflow forecasting, analysis of client revenue, gross profit & bookings, tracking of key KPI’s, managing NWC, etc.
  • Ensure all risks, opportunities and potential issues are identified, highlighted and addressed.
  • Management of UK General Ledger team, with direct and indirect reports. Mentoring, coaching and line management. Allocate roles and responsibilities with continual review to ensure best practices are adhered to and maintain alignment to the Convergint Global policies.
  • Ensure all Statutory and Tax reporting, and compliance, is completed on time, in all the markets under your remit. Includes Statutory Accounts, Annual Returns, Tax submissions and VAT returns.
  • Audit lead and key point of contact with all external accounting and legal contacts.

Secondary Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of new ERP system in the UK, and across a number of other EMEA markets.
  • Develop and drive initiatives to continually improve processes and internal controls.
  • Lead the overall education of the business regarding the importance of solid financial management and controls.
  • Support finance team members’ efforts to regularly train the non-finance side of the business in procedures and policies.

Job Skills Requirements:

  • Proficient computer skills including advanced Excel and familiarity with other MS Office applications.
  • Proficient knowledge of ERP and financial consolidation systems. NetSuite and Spectrum experience will be an advantage.
  • Strong technical accountancy skills.
  • Excellent organizational, numeracy and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to supervise others.
  • Flexibility, no day will be the same! Good sense of humour.

Education Requirements:

  • O Level / GCSE Maths & English required.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Experience Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 7 years post qualification experience in industry.
  • EMEA and/or Global finance experience.
  • Working in a complex, matrix style organization.
  • Proven and strong financial leadership experience including management of staff.
  • Knowledge of reporting in US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Systems implementation, additional European languages and cross border VAT would be an advantage.
