Description:
The Data Steward ensures the accuracy, integrity, and validity of all master and reference data across Convergint’s core enterprise technology systems. This role partners with global, vertical and local teams to drive governance and compliance adherence, maintain high-quality master data, and support administrative, operational, and sales teams with actionable business insights. The Data Steward collaborates across business, operations, and technology teams to enforce standards, remediate data issues, and continuously improve data processes, enabling reliable reporting, informed decision-making, and effective engagement.
By maintaining trusted, standardized, and enriched data, Data Stewards enable consistent reporting, streamlined processes, stronger compliance, and more reliable decision-making across the business.
Governance & Compliance
- Enforce enterprise data governance policies, standards, and naming conventions by reviewing, validating, and permitting records to be activated only when compliant with standards.
- Validate and remediate Salesforce records based on customer type, jurisdiction and request by maintaining the accuracy and completeness of compliance fields to adhere to applicable regulatory requirements, inclusive of contractual, customer credit, and trade compliance checks.
- Demonstrate ongoing managerial courage by actively engaging remediation of non-compliant requests ensuring standards are achieved. Escalate repeated or deliberate non-compliance and data-related risks to management for remediation.
Data Quality & Integrity
- Safeguard data quality by validating accuracy, completeness, and consistency across master data, integrations, and account hierarchies.
- Perform ongoing audits, cleansing, and de-duplication to maintain data integrity and trusted, reliable source records.
- Resolve data-related issues by acting as a liaison between technology, administrative, operations, and sales teams to ensure consistent governance practices.
Business Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with global business teams, vertical markets, local business users, and the data governance council to identify new requirements and improve data management practices.
- Provide insights gained through daily stewardship activities to recommend process, policy, and technology enhancements and evolution that strengthen data quality and usability.
- Partner with Organizational Change Management (OCM) and Learning & Development (L&D) teams to embed adoption of standards and best practices throughout the global organization.
Business Enablement & Ongoing Support
- Guide users on proper data entry standards and best practices to promote consistent data integrity resulting in accurate reporting and customer insights.
- Actively participate in data migrations, integrations, and reporting initiatives by preparing, validating, and reconciling data ensuring timely, complete, and accurate information is available across systems.
- Maintain authoritative data dictionaries and metadata for transparency and usability ensuring standard taxonomies, hierarchies and classifications are applied consistently.

- Global Frameworks: Experience with global data privacy or regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, trade compliance); large global account hierarchies or complex multi-market structures.
- Multilingual skills: Support stewardship across diverse regions.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BS or BBA) in Data Management & Analytics, Information Systems, Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
3 to 5+ years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, master data management or qualitative data analytics in a global enterprise setting.
Technical Skills:
Experience with enterprise systems supporting CRM, CPQ, ERP, FSM, analytics, etc.; advanced Excel or SQL skills for validation, analysis and reconciliation; knowledge of Salesforce, Oracle, NetSuite, master data management (MDM), and data model structures.
