This role provides senior operational leadership for institutional digital asset custody and transaction processing, with accountability for execution quality, risk management, team oversight, and continuous improvement in a highly regulated and rapidly evolving environment. The SVP operates within a broader Digital Asset Operations function that spans multiple products and platforms and plays a key role in driving resilience and scalability across the global operating landscape.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Providing senior operational leadership across Digital Asset Operations, with accountability for digital asset custody, transaction processing, incident management, and control effectiveness.
- Owning end‑to‑end operational workflows across custody, settlement, reconciliations, and exception management, and client servicing, with a strong focus on risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of junior team members, including coaching, performance management, and building bench strength and subject matter expertise.
- Overseeing incident management, including response to blockchain or platform events, execution of escalation protocols, and coordination of post‑incident reviews and remediation.
- Driving operational excellence by identifying risks, inefficiencies, and control gaps, and partnering with Technology, Risk & Control, Compliance, and Product teams to implement sustainable solutions.
- Supporting the introduction of new digital asset capabilities by ensuring operational readiness, control alignment, and sustainable processes.
- Acting as a senior point of contact for complex client, audit, regulatory, and risk related inquiries, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution.
- Supporting business continuity and coverage needs.
This role requires flexibility to provide leadership coverage during non‑standard hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, based on business and client needs.
To be successful in this role, we are seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 10-12 years of experience in financial services operations, custody, settlements, or digital assets, with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
- Strong understanding of operational risk management, controls, reconciliations, and regulated financial services environments.
- Solid working knowledge of digital assets, blockchain technology, tokenization, and cryptocurrency markets.
- Proven ability to lead teams, set priorities, and drive execution in a fast‑paced, high‑risk environment.
- Experience partnering cross‑functionally with Technology, Product, Compliance, and Risk stakeholders.
- Strong judgment, decision‑making, and escalation skills, particularly during incidents or time‑sensitive events.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to represent operations to senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to support flexible scheduling and provide leadership coverage outside of standard business hours when required.
- Accountability for operational performance, risk outcomes, and team effectiveness.
- Leadership over people, processes, and controls, not just task execution.
- Ownership of complex issues, incidents, and strategic initiatives.
- Active role in shaping operating models, controls, and future state capabilities for digital asset custody.
