Director, Global Tax Product Management
BNY is seeking a Director to join our Client Tax team, located in London, UK.
This leadership role spans product innovation, regulatory readiness, commercialization, and product governance, aligned to BNY’s strategic pillars: Be More for our Clients, Run our Company Better, and Power our Culture.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Global Head of Tax within the Enterprise Custody Services platform, leading the delivery of key strategic and client focused global tax initiatives covering withholding taxes, Financial Transaction Taxes and other securities taxes.
- Design, plan and execute a comprehensive, prioritized roadmap balancing compliance mandates, client experience, and commercial value as aligned to company priorities.
- Partner with Sales and Coverage teams to win complex custody tax deals by leading end-to-end solutioning.
Lead RFP responses, participate in client pitches and due diligence, define scalable operating and technology solutions tailored to client requirements, assess risk and control impacts, and align pricing and commercials to ensure a seamless transition from proposal to delivery.
- Oversee and accelerate the expansion of the custody tax product coverage and capabilities by identifying opportunities, prioritizing enhancements, and delivering scalable, compliant solutions.
- Manage and approve non‑standard client service requests by leading solution design and cross‑functional execution; perform assessments with corporate, business and operational partners; secure required governance/risk approvals; orchestrate cross‑functional delivery with clear timelines, KPIs, and change management to drive client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Experience working at a global custodian, global asset manager and/or Big 4 firm on international custody tax matters impacting global clients with deep knowledge of domestic and foreign withholding taxes, tax relief systems, capital gains and financial transaction taxes.
- Strong skills in analysis, solution design, ability to lead cross‑functional teams, and hands‑on execution.
- Proven experience partnering with Sales on high‑value, complex pitches and RFPs—shaping solutions, commercials, and client presentations to drive wins.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self‑driven with a focus on ownership and the ability to execute on projects.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi‑task activities for timely delivery.
- Proficient user of MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Power Point). Experience with Agile methodologies and tools including JIRA would be an asset but not mandatory.
