Want to be part of a company that’s on a mission to make business connectivity as easy to use as electricity, water, or gas? That’s exactly what we’re doing at Convergence Group - and we’re looking for a Supplier Manager to join us on the journey. You’ll use your Telecoms and Supplier Relationship Management expertise to ensure our strategic partners deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective services that power our growth.

The pace and intensity are higher than most environments in our sector. The workload is typically around 30% greater than many people will have experienced elsewhere - not because we are chaotic, but because we are ambitious and constantly building. We grow organically and through acquisition, continuously integrating, improving and raising the bar. The landscape evolves, priorities shift, and expectations rise. If you prefer a predictable, static environment, this probably won’t feel comfortable. If you are energised by growth, movement and high standards, it can be deeply rewarding. Your strengths will have a bigger platform here - and you will be stretched behaviourally more than in most environments. We value respectful honesty: anyone can challenge an idea; hierarchy doesn’t protect thinking and getting it right matters more than being right. Ego doesn’t perform well here; curiosity, learning and ownership do. We hire people who are already strong at their craft - the stretch at Convergence Group is navigating pace, complexity and constant evolution. This environment isn’t for everyone, but for the right person it offers an exceptional opportunity for impact, growth and accelerated development.

What You’ll Be Doing As Our Supplier Manager

  • Own and evolve our Strategic Supplier Relationship Management (SSRM) framework to ensure strong supplier performance and value delivery
  • Build strong, outcome-focused relationships with key partners (e.g. BT Wholesale, Virgin, Openreach, Cisco, Fortinet, Extreme)
  • Act as the escalation point for supplier performance issues and drive resolution
  • Drive efficiency across third-party spend (COGS) to improve margins and competitiveness
  • Manage vendor accreditations, renewals, and compliance requirements
  • Support key supplier relationships that underpin business-critical systems, e.g. Service Now and SolarWinds.
  • Lead procurement activity in any internal tendering processes
  • Manage supplier selection, onboarding, and supply chain due diligence with risk and compliance
  • Manage commercial and contract relationships for key outsourced partnerships
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation and measurable value from suppliers
  • Ensure supplier SLA issues are resolved quickly and compensation is recovered where appropriate

What We’re Looking For

  • 5 + years’ experience in Supplier Management / SRM within telecommunications or technology
  • Has worked with major telecoms carriers (e.g. BT Wholesale / Virgin) and technology vendors (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet, Extreme)
  • Supply side / procurement experience in delivering tangible cost savings
  • Strong Supplier Relationship Management, negotiation, and conflict management skills
  • Solid Excel and analytical skills
  • Organised, proactive, and able to see the bigger picture
  • CIPS or similar procurement qualification (nice to have, not essential)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment
  • Able to pass BPSS and other clearance checks

What You’ll Get

  • £55-65,000 salary
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Private medical insurance
  • Enhanced pension, income protection & life assurance
  • Hybrid working - 3 days per week in the Solihull office
  • Dog-friendly office - yes, really!
