At Convergence Group, we’re on a mission to make business connectivity simple – like a true utility – cutting through complexity and putting customers first. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Provisioning Coordinator to keep things moving behind the scenes. You’ll be the go‑to person making sure orders flow smoothly from sale to live service, connecting the dots across teams and suppliers, staying one step ahead of potential delays, and keeping everything on track so services go live without a hitch.
What It’s Really Like Here
The pace and intensity are higher than most environments in our sector. The workload is typically around 30% greater than many people will have experienced elsewhere – not because we are chaotic, but because we are ambitious and constantly building. We grow organically and through acquisition, continuously integrating, improving and raising the bar. The landscape evolves, priorities shift, and expectations rise. If you prefer a predictable, static environment, this probably won’t feel comfortable. If you are energised by growth, movement and high standards, it can be deeply rewarding. Your strengths will have a bigger platform here – and you will be stretched behaviourally more than in most environments. We value respectful honesty: anyone can challenge an idea; hierarchy doesn’t protect thinking and getting it right matters more than being right. Ego doesn’t perform well here; curiosity, learning and ownership do. We hire people who are already strong at their craft – the stretch at Convergence Group is navigating pace, complexity and constant evolution. This environment isn’t for everyone, but for the right person it offers an exceptional opportunity for impact, growth and accelerated development.
What You’ll Be Doing As Our Provisioning Coordinator
- Keep Orders Moving: Take ownership of WAN customer orders – from sales acceptance through service provisioning to live service – ensuring everything is ready for installation and nothing slips through the cracks.
- Keeping Everyone in the Loop: Communicate clearly and consistently with customers and stakeholders via Phone, Teams and email – setting expectations and managing risks early.
- Working Across Teams: Collaborate with Sales Ops, NOC, Project Management, and suppliers – challenging delays and keeping orders on track.
- Staying on Top of Your Queue: Manage your workload effectively, prioritising blocked or at‑risk orders to maintain speed, consistency and delivery performance.
- Hitting the Right Results: Consistently deliver against key targets, including >95% of order updates completed on time, and reducing Mean Time to Provide (MTTP).
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of 1 year’s experience in the provisioning of orders in the telecoms industry – ideally with connectivity such as Ethernet or broadband (e.g., EAD, P2P, FTTP, SoGEA).
- Experience working with telecoms suppliers e.g. Openreach, BT Wholesale, Virgin or other ISP/MSP.
- Familiarity with order processing.
- Strong organisation and time‑management skills.
- Clear and confident communication – comfortable picking up the phone.
- High attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
- Confident using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel.
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs including English.
- Experience of project coordination (e.g., Prince2) would be a bonus.
- Ability to pass BPSS and other clearance checks.
What You’ll Get
- £30,000 – £35,000 salary
- 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
- Private medical insurance
- Enhanced pension, income protection & life assurance
- Hybrid working – 3 days a week in the Solihull office
- Dog‑friendly office – yes, really
