The pace and intensity are higher than most environments in our sector. The workload is typically around 30% greater than many people will have experienced elsewhere - not because we are chaotic, but because we are ambitious and constantly building. We grow organically and through acquisition, continuously integrating, improving and raising the bar. The landscape evolves, priorities shift, and expectations rise. If you prefer a predictable, static environment, this probably won’t feel comfortable. If you are energised by growth, movement and high standards, it can be deeply rewarding.

Your strengths will have a bigger platform here - and you will be stretched behaviourally more than in most environments. We value respectful honesty: anyone can challenge an idea; hierarchy doesn’t protect thinking and getting it right matters more than being right. Ego doesn’t perform well here; curiosity, learning and ownership do. We hire people who are already strong at their craft - the stretch at Convergence Group is navigating pace, complexity and constant evolution. This environment isn’t for everyone, but for the right person it offers an exceptional opportunity for impact, growth and accelerated development.

You'll play a vital role in keeping our business running smoothly by ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time. Working as part of a supportive finance team, you'll manage supplier invoices from receipt through to payment while maintaining strong relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing supplier invoices accurately within NetSuite
  • Matching, coding and posting invoices in line with company procedures
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
  • Responding to supplier and internal finance queries
  • Supporting month-end close activities and reconciliations
  • Monitoring the Accounts Payable inbox
  • Processing supplier credit notes and maintaining accurate supplier records
  • Helping identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with accuracy and pace and takes pride in delivering an excellent service.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role
  • Experience processing high volumes of supplier invoices
  • Strong reconciliation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
  • Confident communication skills when dealing with suppliers and colleagues
  • Experience of ERP systems (NetSuite experience would be an advantage but isn't essential)

Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership and wants to be part of a collaborative, ambitious team.

What’s in it for you?

  • Time off: 33 days holiday (yep, including bank holidays).
  • Benefits: Private Medical, enhanced Pension, Income Protection & Life Assurance.
  • Balance: Flexible core hours + hybrid working (3 days a week in our Solihull office).
  • Growth: Tools, training, and clear progression paths - you bring the ambition, we’ll back it.
  • Culture: Dog-friendly office - yes really!

This isn't just another Purchase Ledger role. Every supplier payment you process helps us deliver resilient connectivity solutions that support hospitals, emergency services, schools, businesses and communities across the UK. Your work directly contributes to keeping essential services connected.

If you're looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk opportunity where your work is valued, your development is supported, and you'll be part of an ambitious, growing business, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help us build the future of business connectivity.

£27,500 to £30,000 per year plus additional benefits.
