Want to be part of a company that's on a mission to make business connectivity as easy to use as electricity, water, or gas? That's exactly what we're doing at Convergence Group - and we're looking for a brilliant Sales Operations Executive to join us on the journey. This is not just an admin job - you'll help turn opportunities into real deals by creating accurate, competitive quotes and keeping the sales process running smoothly from start to finish.
What It's Really Like Here
The pace and intensity are higher than most environments in our sector. The workload is typically around 30% greater than many people will have experienced elsewhere - not because we are chaotic, but because we are ambitious and constantly building. We grow organically and through acquisition, continuously integrating, improving and raising the bar. The landscape evolves, priorities shift, and expectations rise. If you prefer a predictable, static environment, this probably won't feel comfortable. If you are energised by growth, movement and high standards, it can be deeply rewarding. Your strengths will have a bigger platform here - and you will be stretched behaviourally more than in most environments. We value respectful honesty: anyone can challenge an idea; hierarchy doesn’t protect thinking and getting it right matters more than being right. Ego doesn’t perform well here; curiosity, learning and ownership do. We hire people who are already strong at their craft - the stretch at Convergence Group is navigating pace, complexity and constant evolution. This environment isn’t for everyone, but for the right person it offers an exceptional opportunity for impact, growth and accelerated development.
What You'll Be Doing
- You’ll be the engine behind our sales team, supporting Account Managers and Directors to keep things running smoothly.
- Creating accurate, high-quality sales quotes and processing orders across our product range (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Security).
- Managing the end-to-end quoting lifecycle, often handling multiple quotes and deadlines at once.
- Working with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and validate solutions.
- Managing customer accounts and keeping CRM data accurate (we use Zoho).
- Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers to improve responsiveness and deal outcomes.
- Handling invoice queries, scheduling meetings, and supporting retention activities.
- Making sure all quotes follow governance and approved offerings.
- Helping improve processes, turnaround times, and sales efficiency.
- Acting as the link between Sales, Pre-Sales, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Monitoring SLA's and hitting KPIs around quoting speed, pipeline contribution, and customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- 2 years’ experience in sales support, sales admin, or a client support role where you have managed customer quotes, records and orders.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Good with numbers - you understand margins, pricing and KPI's.
- Confident communicator who works well with internal teams and suppliers.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, digital applications or structured workflow processes.
- Proactive, analytical, and enjoys solving problems.
- Good at MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience in IT, telecoms, or networking would be a bonus.
- Able to pass BPSS clearance checks.
What You'll Get
- £30,000 - £35,000 salary.
- 33 days holiday (including bank holidays).
- Private medical insurance.
- Enhanced pension, income protection & life assurance.
- Hybrid working - 3 days a week in the Solihull office.
- Dog-friendly office - yes, really.
