About the Role: We are looking for a reliable and professional Driver to join our Warehouse & Logistics team based at our headquarters in Stafford. This role is responsible for carrying out deliveries and collections safely, legally, and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining high operational standards. You will play a key role in supporting logistics operations and representing the business professionally at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving & Deliveries: Carry out planned deliveries and collections across designated routes. Drive company 3.5 tonne vans safely and within all legal requirements. Load and unload products carefully and accurately against delivery documentation. Ensure vehicles are never overloaded and goods are transported securely. Report any delivery or collection issues to management before leaving site. Handle products with care to avoid damage during transport.
- Vehicle & Safety Compliance: Complete daily vehicle defect checks and report issues immediately. Maintain vehicle cleanliness inside and out. Follow all company driver policies and health & safety procedures. Report accidents or incidents promptly to management.
- Customer Service & Documentation: Deliver a professional customer experience at all times. Complete all collection and delivery paperwork accurately. Obtain required signatures and ensure customer compliance documentation is completed. Carry photo ID and wear company uniform with a smart professional appearance.
- Warehouse Support: Support warehouse and operational activities when driving duties are not required. Assist with stock movement where appropriate. Operate Fork Lift Trucks where qualified and authorised. Work flexibly when required to meet operational demands.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in delivery and collection driving.
- Good understanding of road safety and legal driving requirements.
- Reliable, professional, and organised approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Maths and English skills.
- VNA/FLT licence.
- Experience using handheld scanners or electronic proof of delivery systems.
