Senior Manager, Marketing Operations
The Senior Manager, Marketing Operations will serve as an experienced professional responsible for managing core budget, vendor, and planning operations across Brand & Growth.
This role requires strong knowledge of marketing operations processes, budget management, vendor governance, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
The role will work independently on recurring monthly deliverables, assess and resolve issues of diverse scope, and advise stakeholders on process requirements, risks, and practical solutions in alignment with Convera policies and operating rhythms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- B&G Planning, Reporting & Operating Rhythm Support (50%)
- Manage key planning and reporting artifacts across the B&G operating cycle, including WBRs, MBRs, annual planning deliverables, and related governance materials.
- Coordinate and maintain B&G operating cadences, including leadership reviews, All Hands forums, planning cycles, and other recurring business rhythms.
- Support annual and quarterly planning processes by coordinating inputs, tracking milestones, managing dependencies, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Implement and maintain governance mechanisms that promote alignment, accountability, communication, and execution across the B&G organization.
- Maintain governance and content standards for the B&G Hub, including ways of working, process documentation, SOPs, templates, and collaboration resources.
- Identify operational risks, process gaps, and opportunities for simplification within planning, governance, and collaboration processes, recommending and implementing approved improvements.
- Partner with stakeholders across B&G to resolve process questions, drive adherence to established operating practices, and support effective execution of organizational priorities.
- Budget Management, Governance & Execution (40%)
- Manage and track spend across Marketing and Enablement, supporting multi-million-dollar budget portfolio in partnership with B&G leaders, Finance, Accounting, and Procurement.
- Maintain accurate budget records, reporting, forecasting inputs, and budget utilization metrics using relevant systems.
- Monitor expenses, process invoices, and support timely execution of spend in alignment with Convera policies, governance standards, and planning processes.
- Identify budget variances, risks, and unusual spend patterns, assess root causes, and recommend corrective actions to stakeholders.
- Support annual OPEX planning by preparing budget inputs, consolidating information from budget owners, and ensuring planning assumptions are accurately reflected.
- Serve as the operational owner for our budgeting system, providing vendor coordination, user support, system administration, process documentation, and guidance to budget owners.
- Identify, document, and implement approved process improvements that simplify budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, and governance activities while improving efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
- Vendor Contract Management (10%)
- Centrally manage vendor contract tracking across Marketing and Enablement functions, ensuring visibility of renewals, purchase orders, expiration dates, and budget implications.
- Coordinate purchase orders, renewals, onboarding, and deprecation decisions in partnership with functional budget owners and Procurement.
- Support compliant onboarding and invoicing of contractors and vendors in line with Convera governance processes.
- Advise internal stakeholders on contract lifecycle procedures, spending approvals, and process steps.
- Identify potential contract, renewal, or spend risks and escalate with clear recommendations for resolution.
- Track vendor expenditures against forecasts to help prevent overspending and support monthly budget management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, business operations, planning, budget operations, procurement operations, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze budget, vendor, or planning issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong understanding of marketing operations, budgeting practices, vendor lifecycle processes, and operational governance.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders such as Finance, Procurement, Accounting, Marketing, Enablement, or business operations teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with budget management tools, procurement systems, reporting tools, or marketing operations platforms; Allocadia experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data, reporting, and business context to support decision-making.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage recurring monthly deliverables, and escalate risks or decisions at appropriate points.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to advise business partners on processes, explain requirements clearly, and gain alignment across teams.
- Creative problem-solver with a growth mindset who looks for ways to simplify processes and improve operational effectiveness.
- Comfortable working through ambiguity while applying established policies, procedures, and judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear documentation, reporting, and stakeholder updates.
