What We Are Building At Conveo
Conveo is the AI research platform enabling fast, affordable, and high-quality consumer / B2B research. Global brands use our AI video interviewer to generate insights across marketing, product, and research teams.
About The Role
Conveo is scaling fast — Fortune 500 clients, global contracts, high-stake procurement cycles. You will interact with some of the world’s biggest brands (Unilever, Google, P&G, Orange). The opportunity: own the legal and commercial operations that let Conveo scale without friction.
Your Mission
- Support day-to-day legal operations:
- Advise internal teams on standard legal questions and risk management
- Support data privacy compliance (DPAs, GDPR) and corporate legal hygiene as the company scales across jurisdictions
- Coordinate with external counsel on tactical legal questions
- Contribute to new legal challenges as they arise — this is a fast-growing company, so the scope will grow with you
- MSAs, DPAs, order forms, amendments, and NDAs for enterprise and agency clients
- Redlining and negotiation with client legal teams
- Template maintenance so sales can self-serve on standard deals
- A clean, trackable contract pipeline from first draft to signature
- Vendor registration portals and procurement questionnaires for Fortune 500 clients
- Security reviews and compliance documentation assembly
- End-to-end tracking so no deal stalls in procurement limbo
- Standardizing templates so 80% of deals close without custom negotiation
- Building a redlining playbook so the team handles common pushbacks independently
- Creating a fast-track process for smaller deals
- Partnering with sales to pre-empt procurement bottlenecks
- Contracts closed
- Time from verbal commit to signature halved
- Deals unblocked
- Templates standardized
- Vendor onboarding cycles shortened
- Internal teams confident in legal guidance
This role is only for someone who sees legal as a growth lever, not a gate. You are the go-to legal voice internally — pragmatic, fast, and commercial.
What We’re Looking For
Non-negotiables:
- 1-3 years of experience in commercial or technology law (in-house or top-tier firm)
- Deep expertise in SaaS contracts: MSAs, DPAs, order forms, SOWs, NDAs
- Working knowledge of GDPR and international data privacy frameworks
- Experience negotiating with enterprise procurement and legal teams
- High agency: you identify legal risks and solve them before they become blockers
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-lawyers
- Comfortable building legal processes from scratch — templates, playbooks, workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Dutch or French is a plus)
- Proficiency with contract lifecycle tools (e.g. Juro) and AI tools (e.g. Claude, Harvey, Legora)
Mindset:
- Business-minded: you understand that legal exists to enable growth, not block it
- Pragmatic: you know when something needs to be airtight and when 'good enough' is the right call
- Low ego, high standards
- Comfortable pushing for outcomes (without being annoying)
- Can handle ambiguity and still ship consistently
- Thinks in systems and leverage — you build once so the team can use it forever
Bonus (not required):
- Experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS or AI company
- Familiarity with Belgian, UK, or US commercial or corporate law
- Experience with IP protection or data protection regulations beyond GDPR
- Background in data-heavy industries, market research, or adtech
What Success Looks Like
- Average time from verbal commit to signed deal is halved
- Sales has clean, self-serve templates for 80%+ of standard deals
- Enterprise clients pass through legal review in days, not months
- A contract pipeline with full visibility: who’s negotiating what, where it’s stuck, and what’s closing
- Internal stakeholders repeatedly say: 'Legal and procurement used to be the bottleneck. Now it’s the accelerator.'
- The legal function scales with the company — no fire drills, no surprises
Why join us?
At Conveo, you will join a team that genuinely enjoys working, and spending time, together. We care about building real relationships, not just great products. That’s why we run quarterly team offsites where we disconnect, reset, and have fun.
Plus:
- Step out of the law firm grind into a high-impact, high-autonomy role at a hyper-growth AI company
- Build and own Conveo’s legal operations as we grow from £4M to £50M ARR
- Direct exposure to and working with founders and senior leadership
- Work with world-class enterprise clients (Unilever, Google, P&G, Orange, and more)
- Help define how AI-powered research becomes the global default
- Competitive compensation with meaningful equity upside
- A culture built on taste, speed, ownership, and ambition
- Hybrid working model — with offices in London, Antwerp, and New York to collaborate in person
Compensation Range: £55K - £70K
