What we're building at Conveo
Conveo is the AI research platform enabling fast, affordable, and high-quality consumer and B2B research. Global brands like Unilever, Google, and Orange use our AI video interviewer across insights, marketing, and product teams. We're going from $1M to $100M ARR in under two years. Marketing is one of the engines that gets us there. Social is where we make Conveo unmissable.
The role
As our Social Media Lead, you own attention for Conveo. That breaks into three things:
- The system. You own our social calendar end-to-end. You coordinate launches with PMM, events, customer marketing, and sales so every product release, customer win, event, and research moment lands as planned. You design the automation pipeline that turns customer calls, studies, and product updates into 25+ posts per week without burning anyone out. By Q4, the engine runs at 70% automated, and the work that's left is creative taste, not recurring toil.
- The voices. You operate the personal accounts of our CEO, CPO, Head of Research, and 6+ supporting voices across the company. You shape each one into a distinct, recognizable industry voice. Niels does not sound like Dieter. Hendrik writes nothing like Charles. You make sure that's true. Today these accounts have ~80K combined followers. By end of year, they have 170K+, without flattening any of them into corporate mush.
- The moments. You hunt and engineer the breakout posts that drag Conveo into the AI conversation. These are the posts that escape our immediate network and hit broader timelines. You create some, you direct others, and you know the difference between bold and embarrassing.
What this role is not
This is not brand babysitting. This is not "stay on message" social. This is also not a pure creator role. You are a systems-thinking content operator who can also ship sharp creative work. Not a creator who tolerates ops on the side. The visible 10% of this job is the breakout viral post. The invisible 90% is the calendar architecture, the multi-voice ghostwriting, and the coordination across a marketing team that grew from 2 to 15 people in three months. If you want to be a TikTok-native creator with a personal brand to build, this is the wrong job. If you want to build the distribution engine that turns a generational AI company into a category-defining one, keep reading.
Your mission
- Run the editorial system. Own the editorial calendar end-to-end across Conveo's company accounts, founder accounts, and supporting voices. Design the content hierarchy. Decide what gets which weight, when. Coordinate with PMM, Events, Customer Marketing, and Product so launches, customer wins, and event amplification land on cadence. Move us from inconsistent posting to 3 to 5 company posts plus 25 to 40 thought leadership posts per week, on cadence, on brand, by Q4.
- Shape voices, not just posts. Ghostwrite and operate the personal accounts of Dieter (CEO), Hendrik (CPO), Niels (Head of Research), and our supporting voice network of 6+ operators. Build a distinct point of view for each voice. Map their expertise, their pet topics, their tone, their cadence. Stand up the operating system behind it: source extraction, draft generation, voice review, scheduling, engagement loops.
- Use AI to multiply, not substitute. Aggressively automate every repeatable part of the pipeline. Aim for 70%+ zero-effort production by Q4. Never ship content that feels AI-generated. AI removes friction, not thinking. Build prompt systems, scheduled tasks, and content workflows that your replacement could pick up and run.
- Engineer viral moments. Constantly hunt for trends, product launches, industry shifts, and cultural beats worth hijacking. Turn complex AI and research ideas into simple, sharp, opinionated takes. Engineer virality through hooks, framing, speed, and repetition. Not hope.
- Operate like an owner. Treat social like a growth engine, not a channel. Measure what matters: SQLs influenced, thought leader account growth, inbound from social, breakout posts that bring in new followers. Move fast, learn publicly, double down on what works. No waiting for instructions.
What we're looking for
Non-negotiables:
- You've run an editorial system before. Multi-voice, multi-stakeholder, on cadence. Ideally for a high-growth tech, AI, or B2B SaaS company. We will ask you to walk through the calendar you owned.
- You've ghostwritten for at least one founder or executive at scale. You can show before-and-after numbers and explain what made the voice work.
- You think in systems and pipelines, not just posts.
- You've automated a content workflow, or you're aching to.
- You have proven instincts for the AI, tech, or B2B audience. You can name the LinkedIn voices that matter in our category and tell us why they work.
- You've grown an audience yourself through original ideas, on any platform. We care about the skill of building attention, not the follower count.
Mindset:
- Edgy but not cringe.
- Confident, not try-hard.
- Opinionated, not generic.
- High agency, low ego.
- Obsessed with how distribution compounds.
- Comfortable being early, wrong, and visible.
- Comfortable being the only person in the room who knows the whole calendar.
Bonus (not required):
- Operated 3+ executive accounts simultaneously with different points of view.
- Built a content automation pipeline (Claude API, n8n, Zapier, custom).
- Light design or editing (Canva, Figma, CapCut).
- Comfort on camera or with short-form video.
- Experience at a marketing team that scaled from < 5 to 15+ in a year.
If you need strict guidelines, brand playbooks, or approval chains, this role is not for you. If you've only ever owned your own posting calendar, also not for you.
What success looks like
- Conveo becomes recognizable, talked about, and referenced on social.
- The CEO, CPO, and Head of Research accounts grow into high-signal industry voices with distinct points of view.
- The editorial calendar runs predictably and feeds every Big Rock: events, ABM, customer proof, product launches, GTM engineering.
- Posts regularly escape our immediate network and hit broader timelines.
- Social drives measurable inbound from customers, talent, and partners.
- Social becomes a strategic advantage, not a marketing afterthought.
