We are looking for the master of the "big picture" who also happens to have the eye for detail. As our Senior Conference & Events Manager, you'll be the go-to for all things operations and events. This isn't just about ticking boxes; it’s about leading the charge in creating seamless, "wow" moments for our clients and their guests while keeping the engine room running like a well-oiled machine. From the high-stakes energy of live corporate events to the behind-the-scenes magic of maintenance, you’ll be the go-to leader making sure every square inch of our space shines. Whilst we work in the world of events, our operations are usually Monday-Friday; flexibility is key in our world!

What We Look For:

  • Commercial & financial management: Assisting in the running of a profitable venue to help towards the company vision
  • Operational management: Understanding and managing the Client Service and Conference Service departments and teams
  • Client management: Maintaining excellent client relations to ensure a successful venue
  • Leadership: Build and maintain an excellent team to deliver the best service

What You’ll Do:

  • Overall responsibility for the Events Operations
  • Responsible for the Events operations team and Conference Services Team in all aspects of the operation
  • Manage the external cleaning contract with monthly review and consistent monitoring
  • Manage and drive forward the yearly, monthly and unplanned maintenance requirements
  • Ensure that each department works to maintain the highest standards of delivery and customer service in accordance with the company’s standards of performance policy
  • Constantly monitor and review Front of House operations systems, implementing improvements as appropriate
  • To review and manage the Health & Safety of the venue
  • Direct management of the Events operations team and Conference Services Team and oversee staff rotas
  • To ensure effective communication between all FOH departments and with the wider venue
  • Deliver the highest levels of customer service across all events
  • Constantly seek and monitor client feedback, ensuring that records are being kept up to date
  • Manage and act upon feedback by providing action plans for improvement
  • To ensure any complaints are dealt with professionally
  • To achieve 90% result in Venue Verdict customer feedback and 9-10 Net Promoter score

Looking after the purse strings:

  • Possess a clear understanding of the company business plan and be responsible for ensuring that all targets relating to FOH are kept in line with the overall objectives
  • Ensure that all tracking and stock control systems are in place with effective stock rotation and monthly counts
  • Control purchases order systems with operations
  • Manage all invoicing and inventory
  • Labour management, ensuring we have the right people in the right places
