This role is a hybrid of Sterilisation vendor management and warehouse administration activities to support Deeside manufacturing facilities. Working as the link between the Warehouse team, Supply Chain Planning teams & the Global Sourcing Teams. In addition, providing support to all local Direct/Indirect plant purchasing activities. Maintain compliance through all systems associated to Production and Quality and adherence to the company’s policies and procedures. Embrace and drive ConvaTec’s core mission, values and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Experience leading purchasing activities in both direct & indirect (Sterilisation Vendors) areas to deliver the right product to the right place at the right time with proper documentation to achieve a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills by taking ownership of situations and working effectively to preempt problems.
  • Supporting Warehouse Management on projects and activities for continuous improvement, as well as daily activities.
  • Assist in the development of supply chain strategies and tactics and the communication of supply chain opportunities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be comfortable with communications to all levels of management throughout diverse cultures.
  • Establishes priorities within the plant environment and displays the ability to balance multiple projects and tasks to meet the objectives of supply chain and warehouse management.
  • Works effectively with the Global Sourcing Teams, Manufacturing, Warehouse and Suppliers to assure timely issue resolution around disposition of non-conforming materials.
  • Supports local aspects of supply chain raw material & indirect sourcing (Sterilisation Vendors), focusing on plant cost savings initiatives & the implementation of purchasing controls across the region.
  • Leads and/or participates on cross-functional multi-site teams to drive improvements. The objectives of the teams are to drive cost reductions while maintaining acceptable levels of customer service.
  • Seeks out and implements opportunities with suppliers to increase ConvaTec’s working capital and reduce supply variability (e.g. VMI, Consignment CPFR, JIT, Kanban).
  • Support Inventory control and accuracy through SAP reporting and intervention.
  • Supervise the Warehouse Administration team in terms of holiday and performance management as well as day-to-day support.
Key Requirements
  • Experience in supply chain management, working within a regulated manufacturing or distribution environment with similar level of complexity (customers, suppliers, SKU’s, packaging, raw materials, and work centers).
  • Proficient in the use of computer applications, SAP, MRP and Microsoft Office desktop suite.
  • Proven experience working in a cross-functional multi-site team based environment and can take the leadership role for a team.
  • Project management, planning and analytical and communication skills.
  • In depth Knowledge of supply chain concepts.
  • Understanding of warehouse management, manufacturing, and distribution.
Qualifications / Education
  • Educated to A level standard or with relevant experience.
  • MCIPS certification is preferable.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt is preferable.
