Position Overview
Reporting to the Shift Lead, the Process Owner will supervise one or more manufacturing lines for the production of wound care intermediates. The Process Owner will operate the process during the shift, carry out Process Owner duties and deputise for the Shift Lead in their absence, including full Incident Control duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in EHS through discussions with safety teams, risk assessments and workplace inspections.
- Own and review risk assessments within area of ownership.
- Act as incident controller in the event of an emergency when the Shift Lead is absent.
- Issue and receive hand‑back of Permits to Work for maintenance, engineering and contractor activity within area of ownership.
- Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and uphold standards.
- Lead Quality initiatives through discussions with the Quality team and non‑conformance board.
- Manage non‑conformance events within the area.
- Review and approve batch documentation, including labels as required.
- Ensure compliance with GMP requirements.
- Maintain operating procedures and expertise for operating the equipment.
- Oversee training and development of process operators.
- Address people issues and communicate with the Shift Lead to ensure proper resolution.
- Monitor performance and investigate process faults.
- Deliver continuous improvement opportunities.
- Perform operational checks of ancillary equipment.
- Conduct inductions and visitor tours where required.
- Coordinate continuous improvement activities, MIB, Kaizen and 5S.
- Implement improvements following CI activities and maintain CI standards.
Skills & Experience
- High personal and professional integrity with a strong work ethic, able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Results‑oriented and able to analyze and interpret complex problems using data from various sources.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Quality systems and Documentum.
- Proficient with PC programs including Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP.
Qualifications / Education
- A‑Level qualifications or equivalent.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of company procedures, EHS and GMP requirements.
- Competency and flexibility across all production processes within the unit.
- Teamwork and consistent application within the unit.
