The Saxon Clinic in Milton Keynes is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Clinical Chair to join their team of staff in the Clinical Senior Management Team. This is a part-time role for 2 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Work with the Executive Director, Director of Clinical Services, MAC chair and MAC members to lead the development of a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that the hospital strategic and operational priorities incorporate quality and safety.
- Lead, support and engage the medical and clinical workforce.
- Work with the Executive Director, Director of Clinical Services and MAC Chair to ensure that the hospital develops and operates a robust system of clinical governance in line with the Circle Health Group framework.
- Ensure that the hospital management team is provided with regular assurance on clinical compliance matters including those relating to: clinical safety, clinical effectiveness, caring, clinical responsiveness and leadership.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Consultant medical practitioner, with full GMC registration, a current licence to practice and on the specialist register.
- Highly developed leadership, influencing and negotiating skills with an ability to motivate and engage others.
- Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
- A robust understanding of clinical governance and the healthcare regulatory system.
- Commitment to continuous improvements in quality and safety.
- Ability to inspire and lead the medical workforce and lead their development.
