The Senior Specialist Medical Education - AWC is responsible for the medical education materials that support brand objectives. The role will develop and deliver original content for faculty and client communications. Ensure quality, medical accuracy, integrity and timeliness of assigned projects. This specialist will be adept at building relationships, educating and demonstrating the clinical outcomes to key stakeholders internally and externally (key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, students, hospital staff, etc).
Your Qualifications/Education:
- Degree in life sciences discipline and direct patient care experience (eg. RN, NP, DPM, PA-C, MD, DO or similar) with 2-5 years in direct healthcare delivery. Wound care experience strongly preferred.
- 2-5 years’ experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry, with preference for at least 2 years’ experience specifically in medical education.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Project planning, program management and process improvement skills to lead in a results-driven fashion.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with colleagues across marketing, commercial, clinical, medical and research/development teams to create comprehensive materials for medical education.
- Conducting or coordinating educational workshops, seminars, programs, webinars and/or podcasts for internal and external stakeholders as determined by global needs, priorities and resources.
- Serving as internal subject matter expert on advanced wound care best practices, disease states, and medical risks/benefits.
- Using knowledge from clinical practice and research to educate internal and external stakeholders on best practices.
- Establishing collaborative relationships with professional organizations to serve advanced wound care practitioners.
- Supporting global medical education platform as a subject matter expert.
The role may require up to 10-20% overnight travel. This role is a hybrid role and requires occasional attendance at one of our offices.
