Convatec is a global medical products and technologies company focused on managing chronic conditions. We are seeking a National Sales Manager Acute, Advanced Wound Care, to lead a sales team and drive growth in the acute setting.

About the Role

  • Sales and commercial responsibility for acute portfolio sales within the Convatec AWC franchise.
  • Inspire and motivate a regional team to adopt a winning mindset and outperform competitors.
  • Drive execution excellence by fully embedding the Convatec Way of Selling sales process.
  • Conduct thorough annual and quarterly regional business planning.
  • Ensure strong utilization of CRM while exceeding call‑rate expectations.
  • Support team upskilling through active coaching, minimum three days per week.
  • Develop and maintain effective cross‑functional relationships and contribute to broader BU strategy.
  • Manage the annual regional budget.
  • Capitalise on current government and NHS priorities.
  • Strong management of portfolio profitability, driving price optimisation.
  • Shape the external environment through engagements with key stakeholders and purchasing bodies, leading and shaping tender processes for optimal portfolio success.

  • Excellent people‑management and talent‑development skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to inspire a team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of price and profitability in all negotiations to support Convatec UKI P&L.
  • High‑standard approach delivering 100% sales performance consistently with a proven track record.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to manipulate, analyse and interpret data from multiple sources to make effective decisions and deliver superior business results.
  • Appetite for leading projects and setting personal objectives.
  • Ability to deliver against both long‑term and short‑term business goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to network internally and externally.
  • Understanding of NHS structure, strategies and key priorities, and up‑to‑date NHS terminology.
  • Experience driving product access within the NHS (community or hospital) to achieve demonstrable business growth.
  • Experience working with diverse specialist teams and influencing them to get things done.
  • Ability to deliver value‑added business results within tight deadlines.
  • Commercial acumen and financial accountability through managing budgets and resource planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM systems.
