The Senior Finance Business Partner is a key role within the Advanced Wound Care (AWC) finance team that will act as key business partner to President AWC and the AWC LT (with specific focus on Global Marketing, Strategy, M&A and Commercial Productivity) while reporting to the VP Finance for Advanced Wound Care globally.
You are the primary interface into Finance for the Business, providing insights, identifying opportunities and challenges, supporting long-term strategic planning, evaluating inorganic opportunities, new product innovation business cases and driving commercial productivity for the business.
YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Partnering with President AWC and VP Finance AWC to deliver sustainable and profitable growth for the Advanced Wound Care (AWC) business unit globally. This includes development of strategic plan, driving operating reviews with regional business teams, and working on growth / efficiency transformation initiatives.
- Working with VP Global Marketing and VP R&D to develop / review business cases for new product innovations / inorganic opportunities which underpin future growth for Convatec.
- Driving Commercial productivity through partnering with VP Sales Force Excellence and Commercial leaders to set clear KPIs, drive cost consciousness behaviors, identify gap closure opportunities and drive commercial outcomes for the Business Unit.
- Working directly with senior Business leaders on various projects, strategic thinking of the business direction, and managing BU performance over multiple measures through robust balanced scorecard reporting.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner in development and supporting delivery of long-term Strategic Plan and Annual Budgets.
- Lead the development and delivery of strategy translation into short, medium and long-term financial and non-financial targets and KPIs (EBIT, revenue growth, cash flow).
- Identify potential performance gaps and drive course correction working with various markets through a balanced scorecard approach for the business.
- Provide support on developing and tracking Investment initiatives and Product/Market launches. This includes development of business cases and the post-event evaluation of investments.
- Drive strategic allocation of resources across countries and identify ways to improve commercial productivity.
- Drive and explore various organic / inorganic opportunities to drive business growth working closely with VP M&A and VP Global Marketing.
- Develop and implement Return on Marketing Investment models on Global Marketing and SFE investments working with the FP&A Centre of Excellence.
- Provide direction and support to GBS and FP&A teams on various activities like month end close, financial analytics etc.
- Partner with the Investor Relations team to provide narrative and storytelling about BU performance for use in investor communications.
- As a senior representative in the finance function with deep knowledge of the business unit, support our finance function to grow together by sharing knowledge, with a particular focus on building commercial acumen within our FP&A team.
YOUR PROFILE
As a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, you apply your strategic thinking skills and growth mindset to drive business turnaround and transformation, consistently challenging the status quo. You foster a mindset of continuous improvement, translating strategies into actions and act as the \’go-to\’ Finance Partner for the Business Unit.
- You have an MBA/CPA or similar qualification with around 8-10 years of post-qualification experience on developing long Strategic Plans and driving performance management.
- Demonstrated experience of working with Marketing and R&D leaders on New Product Launches and evaluation of inorganic opportunities.
- Ideally you should have demonstrated experience of driving business turnarounds, developing growth strategies and partnering Sales / Commercial Teams in driving return on marketing investments.
- Work experience should be ideally in a Consumer, Pharma / MedTech, manufacturing environment in one of the large FTSE businesses.
- You should demonstrate good interpersonal skills, analytical ability and have the gravitas of managing senior business stakeholders.
- Working Knowledge of SAP / Hyperion / Power BI would be an added advantage.
- Fluent in English. Knowledge of other European languages would be an added advantage but not essential.
