We are seeking a high-energy, driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to play a critical role in building Contruent's sales pipeline. This role is focused on identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective enterprise customers and setting high-quality meetings for the sales team.
The SDR will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to execute outbound and inbound prospecting strategies across target accounts in the capital projects, infrastructure, and EPC markets. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment and wants to build a strong foundation for a career in enterprise sales.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, research, and engage target accounts and decision-makers through outbound prospecting efforts (email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels).
- Respond to and qualify inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, events, and website activity.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect challenges, goals, and fit for Contruent's platform.
- Schedule qualified meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities, leads, and opportunities in the CRM.
- Collaborate with Marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and target account strategies.
- Work closely with Sales leadership to continuously improve outreach tactics, talk tracks, and objection handling.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly activity, pipeline, and meeting targets.
- Stay informed on Contruent's products, value propositions, and target industries, as well as competitive offerings.
- Represent Contruent professionally and authentically in all prospect interactions.
- 1–3 years of experience in a Sales Development, Business Development, or inside sales role, preferably in B2B SaaS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage executive-level stakeholders.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging in proactive prospecting.
- UK resident / permit to work.
- Clean driving licence.
- Must be able to meet Security Clearance criteria (BPSS & SC).
- Experience selling or prospecting into enterprise or mid-market organizations.
- Familiarity with construction, infrastructure, capital projects, or EPC industries.
- Experience with account-based selling or target account strategies.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding SDR/BDR performance metrics.
- Desire to grow into a closing sales role (Account Executive) over time.
