Quality Inspector
Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 4:00pm / Friday 6:00am – 3:00pm
40 Hours Per Week
£15.00+ per hour
Temporary – Permanent
Walsall – WS9
An experienced Quality Inspector is required to work on a busy shop floor within a manufacturing environment. The role involves ensuring all materials, components, and finished products meet required quality standards and specifications.
Duties:
- Inspecting raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products
- Verifying dimensions using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, and gauges
- Carrying out visual and functional inspections
- Preparing detailed inspection reports
- Recording non-conformances (NCRs) and reporting issues
- Maintaining accurate quality records and traceability documentation
- Working closely with production to ensure quality standards are met
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Quality Inspector within a manufacturing environment
- Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, xgikmsk and gauges
- CMM experience would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Understanding of quality standards and inspection processes
- Good record-keeping and organisational skills
