Overhead Crane Operator
Location: Aldridge - WS9
Salary: £15 per hour
Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:00am–4:00pm | Friday 6:00am–3:00pm
Job Type: Full-time
The Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Overhead Crane Operator to join a busy and established steel fabrication company based in Aldridge.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous overhead crane experience who is looking for a long-term position within a busy manufacturing and steel environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating overhead cranes safely and efficiently within the steel fabrication environment
- Moving and positioning steel materials and components around the workshop
- Loading and unloading materials using the overhead crane
- Ensuring loads are correctly secured and safely handled
- Following all site health & safety procedures and lifting regulations
- Working closely with the production and workshop teams
- Carrying out general workshop duties when required
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience operating an overhead crane
- Experience working within a steel, manufacturing, engineering or fabrication environment xgikmsk
- Good understanding of safe lifting and handling procedures
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a busy workshop
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- A strong awareness of health & safety
An in-date & external overhead crane licence/certificate WILL be an ESSENTIAL
