This role is based within a busy chemical waste yard environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck and supporting general yard duties. This is an outdoor role, so candidates must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Duties:
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Moving and organising chemical waste materials around the yard
- Ensuring all materials are stored correctly and safely
- Following strict health and safety procedures due to the nature of the products
- Supporting general yard duties as required
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
- Working as part of a team to meet operational targets
Experience:
- Must hold a valid, in-date external Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck is essential
- Experience working within a yard or industrial environment is beneficial
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Happy to work on rotating shifts
- Awareness of health and safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work rotating shifts
