I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client; they are a well-established company within the metal fabrication industry, specialising in high-quality finishing services. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Powder Sprayer to join our production team.
The Role:
As a Powder Sprayer you will be responsible for preparing and coating metal components to a high standard, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of metal surfaces including cleaning, masking, and pre-treatment
- Application of powder coating using manual and/or automated spray equipment
- Monitoring coating thickness and finish quality
- Loading and unloading parts onto the coating line
- Operating curing ovens and ensuring correct temperature settings
- Conducting quality checks to meet company and customer specifications
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean and safe working environment
- Completing any other tasks required within the Powder Coating line
- Following health & safety guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in powder coating or a similar finishing role within the metal industry
- Knowledge of surface preparation and coating processes
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications or drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Good time management and ability to meet production targets
- Team player with a proactive attitude
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience with automated coating lines
- Knowledge of different powder types and finishes
