Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:00am–4:00pm | Friday 6:00am–3:00pm

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Overhead Crane Operator to join a busy and established steel fabrication company based in Aldridge.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous overhead crane experience who is looking for a long-term position within a busy manufacturing and steel environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating overhead cranes safely and efficiently within the steel fabrication environment
• Moving and positioning steel materials and components around the workshop
• Loading and unloading materials using the overhead crane
• Ensuring loads are correctly secured and safely handled
• Following all site health & safety procedures and lifting regulations
• Working closely with the production and workshop teams
• Carrying out general workshop duties when required
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience operating an overhead crane
• Experience working within a steel, manufacturing, engineering xiskglj or fabrication environment
• Good understanding of safe lifting and handling procedures
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a busy workshop
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual attitude
• Ability to work as part of a team
• A strong awareness of health & safety

An in-date & external overhead crane licence/certificate WILL be an ESSENTIAL
