We are currently recruiting for a Hygiene PM Operative to join a growing food manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality and customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hygiene or food production cleaning experience who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
As a Hygiene PM Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring production areas and equipment are maintained to the highest hygiene and food safety standards, helping to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean production areas and machinery to a high standard
- Carry out foaming, rinsing, scrubbing and deep cleaning activities across processing environments
- Dismantle and reassemble machinery to enable effective cleaning and preparation for production teams
- Hand-clean utensils and delicate equipment where required
- Follow all hygiene, cleaning and dismantling procedures accurately
- Adhere to Health & Safety, Food Safety and PPE requirements at all times
- Work in line with COSHH procedures and safely handle cleaning chemicals
- Dispose of waste correctly and follow segregation procedures
- Report issues or concerns promptly to the Hygiene Supervisor
- Previous hygiene / cleaning experience within a food processing or manufacturing environment preferred
- Understanding of industrial cleaning processes and equipment
- Experience using jet washes and dismantling/reassembling machinery would be beneficial
- Food Safety Level 2 and COSHH knowledge desirable (training provided)
- Reliable, flexible and self-motivated approach
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Competitive hourly rates: Starting rate - £13.60
