The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Production Packing Operative to join a busy food production environment.
Working as part of a team on the production packing line, you will be responsible for packing fresh and frozen poultry products, ensuring all products are prepared accurately and meet the required quality, food safety and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Packing fresh and frozen poultry products on various production line stations.
- Transferring products from large bins into buckets ready for weighing.
- Accurately weighing products to ensure they meet the required weight ranges.
- Packing weighed products into food-safe packaging.
- Operating vacuum packing equipment to ensure products are securely sealed.
- Using conveyors to safely transfer products along the production line.
- Cleaning down equipment between production batches.
- Following strict food safety procedures and preventing cross-contamination.
- Completing required paperwork, including batch and label sign-offs.
- Working closely with colleagues to achieve daily production targets.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality and attention to detail.
- Following all company Health & Safety, food safety and working procedures.
- Supporting other production duties when required.
Experience Required
Essential
- Previous experience working as part of a team within a food production environment.
- Good attention to detail.
- Basic communication skills.
- A reliable and flexible approach to work.
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Experience working on a packing or production line.
- Experience using packing-line equipment.
Full training will be provided where required, including food safety and packing-line equipment training.
