As Associate Consultant you will be dynamic and experienced and part of a team conducting business intelligence across Europe, with a particular focus on the Nordics and the UK. You will be a critical thinker with good communication skills and have an interest in business transactions and operations. You will investigate, evaluate and interpret both open source and human intelligence information, producing well written reports to serve a range of intelligence requirements for our clients. Fluent English combined with either Danish, Swedish or Norwegian will be ideal.
- Investigative case management and research
- Execute and conduct investigations for a range of business intelligence projects including due diligence, strategic intelligence, ESG DD, market entry studies, asset identification, litigation support, and problem solving
- Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and ensure that our proposals deliver solutions tailored to those needs
- Work with colleagues to manage the entire project cycle, from initial client request to proposal drafting, acceptance, source management and research, project management, report delivery, and invoicing
- Liaise with our human source network and expand it by cultivating contacts
- Work with colleagues to manage project resources and personnel, including researchers and subcontractors
- Ensure the delivery of projects on budget, scope and deadline
- Brief and present findings, in writing, verbally and through charts and diagrams, to internal and external clients
Business, practice and solution development
- Take an active part in developing Control Risks' client base, seeking to both maintain existing relationships and develop new ones with decision makers.
- Facilitate, where appropriate, the introduction and provision of additional Control Risks’ services
- Support account managers on business development initiatives such as attending conferences, client meetings and briefings
- Actively participate in profile-raising and brand awareness activities, including marketing and networking initiatives and events
- Seek opportunities to improve our current methodologies, including through the application of new technology, innovation, approaches, resources and sources
Requirements
- Education to Bachelor’s degree
- Professional fluency in English and Danish, Swedish or Norwegian
- Previous professional experience, ideally within the Business Intelligence industry
- Experience of managing due diligence projects and presenting findings to clients
- An understanding of the region’s commercial environment, and demonstrated understanding of business trends and challenges (including good understanding of common commercial transactions: IPOs, M&A, JVs etc)
- Demonstrated commitment to due diligence and compliance-focused research, with strong knowledge of OSINT research techniques, databases, networks, online registers and archives, and research in the general internet
- Ability to work in a team and independently
