The Job:
- Responsible for the overall management and performance of the site during shift.
- Oversee 2 shift production supervisors and overall site eg people, health & safety, quality, logistics, facilities and operational performance.
- Provide operational leadership to ensure plant operates safely, efficiently and effectively while meeting production and operational requirements.
- Support Lean, 5S, TPM, problem-solving or other continuous improvement initiatives.
The Person:
- Experienced leader with previous experience managing teams within a shift-based 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, operational management and manufacturing KPIs. Experience managing staffing and operational resources. Experience dealing with employee performance, attendance and conduct issues.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
Desirable:
- IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
- Lean / Continuous Improvement experience.
- Experience working with trade unions.
- Experience managing logistics and warehouse operations.

Shifts a mix of 3 and 4 day or night shifts with 7 days off every 4th week. Schedule is stable and predictable. Every 5th month is a cover shift so you can work flexible hours / days for most of it.
