Location seeking Engineers based in Manchester / Cheshire area but the role will involve national travel / 2 overnight stays per week on average.

Salary Negotiable + var + overtime + pension + 25 days holiday + credit card, fuel card, expenses, allowances. Paid door to door.

Hours Monday to Friday.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a very stable & profitable company established over 30 years. An opportunity to make a difference this is a key role in a small business with a friendly and relaxed culture with opportunities to travel to Europe occasionally.

The Job:

  • Varied work including service, maintenance, installations, upgrades, refurbs and occasional breakdowns for food and packaging machinery.
  • Workshop is in Manchester so some work will be based here when not on site.
  • Work closely with the Director to improve standards and processes.
  • Read mechanical and electrical drawings / schematics, fault finding, diagnostics, repair, installations.
  • Working with servo drives, pneumatics, conveyors, gears and sprockets.
  • Educate customers on use and maintenance.
  • Order spare parts, complete reports and records, build relationships with customers.
  • Some trips to Europe to look at machinery, pre delivery and FATs.

The Person:

  • Multiskilled / electromechanical maintenance or service experience preferably on flow wrapping machinery.
  • An integral role in a small company and a real opportunity to be an instrumental part of the company and to make a difference.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings / schematics.
  • Flexible to travel and stay away from home 2 nights per week on average.
  • Health & Safety and hygiene focused, friendly, proactive, good communication, desire to learn and continuously improve.
