A great opportunity for a senior design engineer or a design manager. The role is to replace a retiring manager after 20+ years service. There will be a 12 month handover to fully integrate the new engineer. A great opportunity to become a vital pillar in the company.
The Person:
- Experience of designing special purpose machinery
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering, and experience producing designs for manufacture.
- 2D and 3D experience (AutoCAD, Solidworks etc)
- Understand motor and gearbox power, material and equipment throughput rates.
- ATEX or PED understanding would be useful.
- Designing machinery for food or chemical process would be an advantage
The Role:
- Evaluate and assess customer specifications / calculations and convert into machine for manufacture.
- Collaborate and interact with technical sales engineers.
- Working on projects from concept to completion
- Create manufacturing drawings.
