Contraflow are opening a brand new location in Bonnyrigg this October!
We are looking for Experienced Traffic Management Operatives to join our team in this new exciting opportunity.

What will you do?
You will be responsible for ensuring the overall safety of our roads. At Contraflow Ltd, the daily tasks of a traffic management operative will vary between…
- Set up and maintain traffic management equipment.
- Perform essential tasks in the depot, including equipment maintenance.
- Display signage.
- Install temporary traffic lights as required.
- Ensure all operational needs are met through physically demanding work.

Our in -house trainers will assist you every step of the way and aid your career progression by helping you obtain every traffic management qualification. Progression is based on your attitude, ability, and reliability.
You WILL require…
- AManualdriving license.
- Own transport to commute to and from the depot (due to start and end times unsuited to public transport)
- Prior Experience is necessary: we require that candidates have reached the 12D stage of qualification for this vacancy.
- To befully flexibleas our shift patterns will include day, night and weekend work + long hours over 7 days a week.
What does your pay look like?
Below are the rates as per each point of progression.
- Starting as a12DOperative: Day(£13.10)Night(£15.20)Weekend(£16.35).
- Starting as/progressing to12D+Operative: Day(£13.45)Night(£15.70)Weekend(£16.70).
- Further pay grades for each qualification level can be discussed at interview.
Our training programme will take you through the ranks and if you choose to go the distance in your Traffic Management Career and progress to our top position of IPV Foreman/12C Supervisor, your pay will eventually look like:Day(£18)Night(£20)Weekend(£22).
