CCL Global is currently supporting a major nuclear decommissioning programme in the recruitment of experienced Project Engineers for long-term opportunities based in Hunterston A NPP in Scotland. We are seeking engineers with experience across commissioning, project delivery, quality assurance and plant operations within highly regulated industrial or nuclear environments. These positions will support critical decommissioning and project closure activities on a major UK nuclear site.
Location: Hunterston A, Scotland, UK.
Type of Contract: 1 year Contract (Inside IR35)
Key duties will include:
- Successful candidates will support a broad range of project engineering and operational delivery activities including:
- Commissioning and plant testing activities
- Production of site and technical documentation
- Maintenance and plant operating instructions
- Risk assessments and design change implementation
- Fault identification, resolution and reporting
- Project handover and closure activities
- Quality assurance and compliance documentation
- Technical supervision of contractors and site activities
- Configuration control and design compliance
- Coordination with operations, commissioning and engineering teams
- Health & Safety and regulatory compliance support
- Support to project delivery and decommissioning activities
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Project Engineering role within nuclear or heavy industrial environments.
- Mechanical, Electrical, EC&I or Quality Assurance background
- Commissioning and testing experience advantageous
- Strong understanding of engineering standards and safety procedures
- Experience working within regulated environments
- Knowledge of CDM and risk assessment methodologies
- Experience supporting project delivery and plant operations
- Strong documentation, reporting and stakeholder coordination skills
- Quality Assurance and project closure experience advantageous
- Security Clearance
- BPSS clearance required
