CCL Global are currently recruiting for a HVAC Engineer for an FEED & Detail Design project in the UK. The engineer will ensure the quality of HVAC deliverables aligns with project requirements and standards. Coordinate between engineering disciplines to facilitate seamless project execution and maintain compliance with project technical and safety standards throughout all HVAC activities.
Location: London (South)
Type of Contract: 24 months
Key duties will include:
- Contribute to identifying safe design opportunities to eliminate, avoid, reduce, or mitigate the HSE risks during construction.
- Work with the contractor’s HVAC team to ensure all activities are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards considering past projects lessons learned.
- Ensure HVAC documentation produced by the contractor, including Master Document Register, is fit for purpose.
- Timely review of HVAC designs, drawings, and specifications to verify they meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with interface entities.
- Contribute to management of design changes, ensuring all modifications are properly evaluated, documented, and communicated.
- Work closely with Company discipline engineers to integrate quality and safety considerations into all HVAC work.
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project.
- Ensure that any HVAC issues are promptly addressed and that all solutions are effectively communicated to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain HVAC quality standards, ensuring all deliverables meet the projects quality requirements.
- Work in close collaboration with the Quality Lead where required to ensure compliance and address any quality concerns.
- Support preparation and participate in technical reviews and audits, provide responses and ensure timely implementation of the findings relating to HVAC Engineering.
- Provide HVAC support to procurement and construction teams, ensuring alignment throughout the project phases.
- Identify opportunities for improving HVAC processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Share lessons learned and incorporate them into future HVAC activities to enhance project delivery.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years in HVAC practice, preferably in large-scale oil and gas sector.
- 5 years in a senior role covering HVAC activities, preferably in detailed design phase of projects.
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC practices.
- Proven ability to cover HVAC Engineering, manage design changes and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Exposure to Architectural design principles would be advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in suitable engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical or HVAC).
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
