CCL Global are currently recruiting for a Piping Engineer to be based in Bristol. The Piping Engineer will support the instrumentation lead engineer in the delivery of work packages associated with the EM09 Nuclear Steam Supply System Instrumentation scope, overseeing piping contribution specific to that scope and supporting the team. Location: Bristol, UK. Type of Contract: Contract inside IR35 (12m+) Key duties will include: * Participation in the CTS delivery process including participation and chairing kick off meetings and delivery of documentation; * Oversee the piping & support design (clamp, beams, anchor plate…) and their modelling in the 3D model; * Preparation of CAD tasks for designers in tracker (until transition to We-CAD) and following up completion; * Participate in and lead troubleshooting investigations for emergent design issues; * Ensure the right application of the engineering procedures by the designers and the overall consistency of the piping and support design (distance between runs, position of welds and openings, etc.); * Interface with other departments of the organisation to facilitate closure of issues; * Maintain a high quality for all aspects of design in the PDMS model; * Ensure that the design is mature and can be handed-over to the client, and that the hand-over package fulfils the requirements given by the Project; * Propose technical solutions to issues that are found on the generic d…
