CCL Global are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead procurement and commercial strategy for the civil engineering and construction elements of our SMR Programme, worth over £1bn across a 10-12 year span.
Location: London (South)
Type of Contract: Permanent
Key duties will include:
- Develop and deliver procurement strategies for major civils contracts.
- Oversee commercial activity from strategy through to contract award.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and technical teams.
- Manage Procurement processes, commercial assurance, and supplier engagement.
- Lead or support a small team, including Assistant Commercial Managers.
- Shape commercial strategies, sourcing plans, and payment models to ensure value for money.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, from market engagement to mobilisation.
- Oversee governance, assurance, and business case development (OBC/FBC).
- Lead market analysis to inform decisions and drive competition.
- Support policy development and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Experience in commercial and procurement roles within nuclear, construction, or major infrastructure programmes.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, public sector procurement (PCR/Procurement Act), and HMT Green Book.
- Skilled in cost modelling, business case development, and contract negotiation.
- Proven ability to manage teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver under pressure.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with CCS frameworks and agile environments.
